SAINT-MARTIN
This contemporary house located in the south of the Landes region underwent a complete renovation.
The architectural intervention aimed to modernize the entire space while preserving the home’s warm, family-oriented atmosphere. Largely open to the outdoors, it offers a highly sought-after lifestyle by blurring the boundary between interior and exterior.
In the original layout, the kitchen was enclosed within an unconventional volume and did not allow for full optimization of the generous space the house offered. The new layout opens up the space while giving it clear structure.
The entrance, now framed by a laundry room and a guest toilet, is separated from the rest of the house by a large, custom-made concealed pocket door. Beyond it, a spacious kitchen opens onto a wide living and dining area.
The kitchen has been designed to visually recede. All appliances and technical elements are concealed within a striking bespoke unit, allowing the walnut-clad worktop and central island to stand out. The beauty of the wood is enhanced by the use of beige polished concrete flooring, which also helps define the space and subtly distinguish the kitchen from the living area. Natural oak flooring completes and warms the overall composition.
The reconfiguration of the layout allows for the installation of a large dining table positioned in front of expansive sliding glass doors, offering views of the garden and swimming pool. A living area featuring a designer sofa completes the space.
Lighting design has been carefully considered to highlight each area according to its function, while also enhancing the wall decor.
This interior renovation meets the demands of everyday living while elevating the volumes and aligning perfectly with the owners’ lifestyle.
