BEAUGRENELLE

Completed within the Architecture Department of Galeries Lafayette, this retail project marks the opening of the second Galeries Lafayette store in Paris, located in the 15th arrondissement within the Beaugrenelle Shopping Center.

Through an in-depth approach to planning, circulation studies, lighting, and spatial perspectives, the interior architecture defines the identity of the store, its positioning, and its overall concept.

The customer experience is placed at the core of the architectural design. First, the entrances are carefully conceived, generously opened to invite visitors in and enhance the fluid transition between exterior and interior. Monumental bespoke stainless steel fixtures shape these scenographic spaces.

The retail floor is then enriched with architectural variations, creating visually distinct zones. This is how the “gallery” concept emerges — a dedicated space and continuous thread running across all four levels of the store. Here, bespoke furniture takes on curved forms, with materials such as Valchromat and stainless steel playing a central role. Accents of color introduced through the furniture are echoed throughout the store, ensuring a cohesive architectural language.

The flooring, made from recycled rubber, not only creates a visual contrast but also introduces a unique sensory experience underfoot.

This project highlights the essential role of interior architecture in retail environments, demonstrating that aesthetic quality is fundamental in physical points of sale.
